Originally from Germany, I came to the US in 1976. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Houston in 1980 and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1985. My license was awarded in 1987. Please feel free to call me by my first name. Some people call me “Dr. Von” or “Dr. B”, because that is easier to remember. I have shifted my practice to online only services. This has worked well for most of my existing and new clients. However, if you prefer to visit with your therapist in person, if the online option does not appeal to you, or if your health insurance does not cover the service, I, unfortunately, would not be a good resource for you.
